Automatic remaining filament detection?

Automatic remaining filament detection?

Beitragvon RapidPFD » 13. Aug 2016, 18:50

Hi,

If the part requires 100m of filament, but my spool only has 50m, will the X400 printer be able to detect that there is no filament halfway through the build? Or will it keep trying to print even though there's no filament?

Please let me know.

Thank you!

So what's the point of having a large build volume if you run out of filament? How can you ensure it won't run out of filament before your build completes?

a long discussed point,
i personaly take a look bevore the print on the roll , if not sure and an important print i somtimes count or check weight.

but my longest print had just 24h and never more than 400-500 g running out of filament
was a issues i had seldom ( and never on my,x400 (maybe bec the long print a better controlling by myself) , much more often the blocking of the nozzle.

so i more than one time had to start again or had to change the code for take a restart at the last good layer

What is the max print bed temperature on the latest model of the X400?

I actually might buy the X400 soon.
